20 Days now

Judging from the amount of response to this blog it's gonna
be you and me, Morty....
My training regiment of beer and cigars might slow me down
a bit this year, but I'm pumped to go, it looks like a great spot.
I can grab the food packs from mec, but I need a head count.
Also if we want anything other than stroganoff.
What day are we heading to the island?
Does everyone have Friday off? If so maybe think about heading
here Thursday night, crash at my place and head to the island
early Friday?

  1. Sorry guys..... hmmm i guess i am as bad as the rest of you.... either way
I am also pretty stoked! Although i am not on such a ridged training schedule as Jon. Jon will drink me under the table, but i feel i will beable to reach all new Highs mentaly, and still match Jon cigar for cigar. I hope I do not let you guys down not being in top shape ;-)

So got a little info to add, and couple comments...
    * Rumor has it on Jeremy B. is that he may actually be already on the Island at that time. yet to be comfirmed... as far as i know he is "In", unless something important comes up, or work won't allow.
*I also think any jump we can get on it the better... we are tossing the kids to whoever will take them. i have to comfirm grandparents time frames again... I already have a bench seat in the front of the suburban for maximum seating capacity (9 seat belts). Unfortunatly I do not have the cargo basket on yet... there still lots of time! right!? i'll figure something out in anycase, it will be fine.
Yes i think more than just stoginoff would be good, i was hesitent about mash potatoes in that grilled chicken one but i think it should be good with some suppliment

  2. Sounds as if I might be at the head of the pack this year, if training regimens are anything to go by. No doobs, limited booze intake, climbing ladders to work on my new roof (rushing to tarp it back up every time a torrential downpour strikes!). Or I may take a puff and a sip of fireball and end up passing out at the trail head. could go either way. Does MEC have t-bone and lobster packs? Or KD? Are we doing individual shopping for trail snacks? There's a Costco in Nanaimo and in Courtney if we want to do a bulk buy.
